How to use Grid Mathematica

Grid Mathematica is bundled with excellent documentation, which makes it fairly painless to begin using the software. First, you must be running a copy of Mathematica. On Ohm, the executable mathematica is located in /usr/local/Mathematica. Once Mathematica is running, select Help -> Help Browser... from the menu at the top of the Mathematica window. A new window will open containing the help contents.

In the help window, select Add-ons & Links. The lists of topics will change to show the selected items. In the leftmost list of topics, scroll to Parallel Computing at the bottom and select it. The list to the right will now show the documentation for Grid Mathematica. The menu item Tutorial contains a helpful introduction to using the software. Once you have learned the basics of Grid Mathematica, the other documents should be easy enough to understand and use. The following is a simple example of Grid Mathematica on Ohm. It can be found at /usr/local/Mathematica/ParallelSample.nb.
